Amy Shark & Bobby Alu inspire at Making Music Live!

April 9, 2017

Participants in this year’s Young Warriors Making Music Live program were recently treated to an awesome songwriting workshop with two of Australia’s finest new artists, Amy Shark and Bobby Alu.

The workshop was a highlight on the National Youth Week event schedule on the Gold Coast. Amy, fresh from a sell out national tour and after taking out second place in this year’s Triple J Hottest 100 with her track ‘Adore’, was full of great advice and practical tips for the aspiring young group.

Bobby, a prolific singer songwriter and touring drummer with Xavier Rudd spent valuable time chatting to the group before heading off to Africa, Europe and the United States on tour.

Participants got a first hand account of the duo’s songwriting process and journey into the music business.

Amy and Bobby were on hand during the afternoon to offer practical tips as the group paired off to work on a song of their own.

The workshop was a unique, once in a lifetime opportunity for the Young Warriors to rub shoulders with two successful Australian songwriters.

New friendships were made and the group left more inspired than ever before to follow their passion for music and songwriting into the future.

Stay tuned for more news on Young Warriors programs.
